Wilhelm Blättchen founds ENERGIE Gesellschaft für elektrische und industrielle Unternehmungen mbH in Stuttgart, Germany.
1978
Subsidiary in Luxembourg
Foundation of a subsidiary, ENERGIE Lignes Hautes Tension in Luxembourg.
1993
Joint venture in Austria
First joint venture between Energie GmbH and ALPINE Bau GmbH, Alpine-Elektro division, for the construction of a 380 kV overhead line for Verbundgesellschaft Austria. First steel lattice towers for mobile networks are erected.
1996
ALPINE-ENERGIE is founded
Foundation of ALPINE-ENERGIE Gesellschaft für elektrische und industrielle Unternehmungen GmbH in Linz, Austria.
1998
Expansion into Switzerland
Foundation of ENERGIE Gesellschaft für Leitungsbau und Kommunikationstechnik AG in Berne, Switzerland.
1999
Entry into the rail sector
ALPINE ENERGIE launches into the catenary building sector with the Austrian project at St. Valentin main railway station, entailing modernisation of the catenary lines.
2002
ALPINE-ENERGIE grows
Foundation of ALPINE-ENERGIE Holding AG and ALPINE-ENERGIE Deutschland GmbH.
2006
Takeover of SAG Kommunikationstechnik
The Spanish building group FCC becomes majority shareholder of ALPINE Group. ALPINE-ENERGIE Holding extends its business in Switzerland and Austria through its acquisition of SAG Kommunikationstechnik.
2009-2011
Expansion of European activities
Foundation of ALPINE-ENERGIE companies in Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary.
2013
FCC assumes full ownership
ALPINE-ENERGIE Group becomes a 100 % subsidiary of FCC.
2014
ALPINE-ENERGIE becomes EQOS Energie
With its takeover by Triton Fonds the long-established group member henceforth conducts its business under the name of EQOS Energie.
2016
EQOS Energie receives pioneering patent for measurements trolley technology
The measurements trolley now has specially developed, pneumatically controlled track guidance, which allows the balancing of tolerances occurring at flange edges and the rail position.
2016-2018
EQOS Energie focuses on its core markets
After the sale of the companies in Switzerland, Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic, EQOS Energie is now bundling its expertise across countries. With a new organisational structure, the company will focus on its five core markets for all service areas: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg and France.
2017
One of the most important projects of the German energy transformation starts
With two construction lots, EQOS Energie participates in the EUR million overhead line project entitled “Westküstenleitung” on behalf of TenneT TSO GmbH.
2019
Acquisition of the overhead line construction specialist FRB
With the acquisition of FRB, EQOS Energie catches up to the top 3 overhead line construction companies in Germany.
2020
EQOS Energie celebrates its 100th anniversary
In the anniversary year, the company focuses on growth and looks positively into the future.
2021
Acquisition of the telecommunication specialist TCT
Thanks to the acquisitionof TCT EQOS Energie advances to become a leading full-service provider. At the same time EQOS Communications is created as a new brand in the EQOS Energie Portfolio.
2022
Acquisition of the catenary construction expert Colas Rail Belgium
In 2022, the EQOS Group is strengthening its railway technology business field with Colas Rail Belgium, Belgium's number one for rail infrastructure.
