  • An investment of over EUR 9 million to expand and modernise its machinery
  • New specialist vehicles for catenary, foundation and maintenance projects
  • Additional capacities for infrastructure projects in the Austrian rail sector

EQOS Energie is investing more than EUR 9 million in the expansion and modernisation of its machinery for the company’s railway technology division. With a new motor tower car and other specialised vehicles, the company will strengthen its capacities for catenary, foundation and maintenance projects in Austria.

In doing so, EQOS Energie is adapting to the growing demands for modern rail networks in order to implement projects more flexibly and efficiently in the future. “The expansion and modernisation of rail infrastructure are among the key challenges for the future in Europe. With this investment of more than EUR 9 million, we are specifically strengthening our capabilities. Our goal is to continue to provide our customers with dependable support for challenging infrastructure projects,” said Carsten Kuhle, Managing Director and Head of the Railway Technology business unit.

Investment in growth and quality

Among other things, a new motor tower car was purchased. It was developed specifically for work on catenary systems and combines work, fitting, and maintenance functions on a single platform. As a result, it supports the installation, inspection, and maintenance of catenary systems. This enables EQOS Energie to work more flexibly on construction, modernisation, and maintenance projects.

“The new motor tower car, which will be delivered in the next few days, and the other investments in our machinery significantly expand our capabilities in catenary construction. Thanks to their versatility, our teams will be able to perform their work more efficiently and better coordinate processes on site. This will make the implementation of complex infrastructure projects noticeably easier,” said Bernhard Schuller, Head of the Catenary Systems Austria profit center.

With these purchases, EQOS Energie combines modern technology with the expertise of its teams, thereby strengthening its position as a dependable and forward-looking partner for the planning, construction and maintenance of rail infrastructure.
