EQOS successfully certified in the area of compliance

12. juillet 2024
  • EQOS’ existing compliance management system certified for the first time
  • EQOS sets a clear signal for the importance of legally and ethically impeccable behaviour
  • International and industry-independent standards to ensure long-term success

Legally and ethically impeccable behaviour is a central component of the EQOS corporate culture: Integrity, honesty, law-abiding conduct and respect for our fellow humans as well as our environment represent the foundation upon which our every action as a company must stand. Compliance is therefore an essential aspect of the quality of our work. The EQOS Group has now had its Compliance Management System (CMS) certified in accordance with internationally recognised standards for the first time.

The certification is based on ISO 37301, which defines requirements and guidelines for an effective compliance management system to support organisations in promoting a positive compliance culture and preventing irregular behaviour. This is supplemented by ISO 37001 with specific requirements and measures to combat corruption. The focus of the certification was therefore on the areas of money laundering, antitrust law and corruption.

“Our compliance management system enables us to recognise legal and ethical risks at an early stage and counteract them,” says Ulrich Braun, Head of the Corporate Unit Legal at EQOS. “The certification is therefore an important step for us. It confirms that we also meet our high quality standards in the area of compliance and that we are a reliable partner for our customers and business partners.”
With the certification, EQOS is also responding to new requirements in its collaboration with customers: “We are already receiving occasional enquiries about our compliance management system and with the certificate we are now very well prepared in this area.”

As part of the certification process, all heads of Business, Corporate and Shared Services Units were interviewed by two independent auditors in June on how they manage relevant compliance issues. This has also helped to identify processes that can be further optimised. On this basis, EQOS will continue to expand its compliance measures in the future.
