- Austria’s most important business competition ALC honours the top 3 companies in each province
- EQOS Energie, one of the leading infrastructure service providers, secures the coveted prize in the Vienna region
- First-time participation in the large companies category
On 15 October 2024, the Austrian Leading Companies (ALC) Awards for the federal state of Vienna took place at Casino Baden. These awards are among the most important business competitions in the country and recognise the companies that have a lasting impact on Austria’s economy. The awards are being presented for the 26th time by “Die Presse” and PwC Austria.
EQOS Energie Austria took part for the first time and immediately took first place in the “Large Companies” category. The economic performance of a company is assessed: the winners are determined on the basis of their balance sheet figures for the last three financial years using an objective system of key figures. Particularly in economically challenging times, the ALC is a special sign of recognition and also a motivational prize for the future.
COO and Managing Director Carsten Kuhle accepted the prestigious award on behalf of the EQOS team. In his opinion, the success of EQOS Energie Austria over the past three years can be attributed to three factors: “Firstly, our broad service portfolio combined with the expertise of our employees is essential for the first-class quality that we stand for. Secondly, we at EQOS have anchored occupational safety as a central theme in our objectives. Thirdly, our efficient and digitalised processes are the basis for stable management of the company. Overall, we have not only created a robust business model, but also an appropriate organisational structure to successfully master future challenges.”
CEO Eric Mendel is delighted: “Our employees deserve this top-class award. It proves once again that our uncompromising commitment to quality is recognised. Winning the ALC is a great motivational boost for all our colleagues. We have a high-performance culture, which contributes to our team being one of the most sought-after in the industry. And as a ‘green energy enabler’, we make an important contribution to society.” Over 60 per cent of EQOS’ Group-wide turnover in 2023 was attributable to sustainable activities that enable safe and sustainable jobs.
