In order to ensure a continued secure power supply for Amstetten\u2019s population of 24,000, additional switchgear must be constructed, existing cables will have to be rerouted and new protective and control technology must be implemented. EQOS Energie \u00d6sterreich GmbH was commissioned with the implementation of this project worth more than EUR 1 million. \u201cWe will start the initial grounding work for the new construction of the substation as early as this spring,\u201d Uwe Trampnau, Managing Director for the Energy Technology division at EQOS Energie Austria, explained about the procedure for the construction project. The conclusion of this electrotechnical modernisation is planned for the end of 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sound expertise for smooth operations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EQOS Energie is one of the leading service providers of complex network infrastructures and has teams of specialists with many years of experience and comprehensive expertise. Besides their technical skills, they are also excellently prepared for any COVID-related challenges. Apart from the development of a comprehensive technical concept covering the entire substation, the requirements of Stadtwerke Amstetten also include the consideration of possible time and logistical delays due to the COVID pandemic. \u201cThe currently unpredictable situation requires enormous flexibility on the part of the entire team,\u201d said Markus Mairhofer, head of the responsible Substations profit center for Central Austria. \u201cDuring project planning, we also had to take into account sickness rates and delays in material deliveries, which isn\u2019t all that easy. But the entire team is extremely flexible and stress-resistant, so we are fully prepared and optimistic about starting this construction project,\u201d Mairhofer said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Significant improvement of supply certainty<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the investment in the construction of the substation, Stadtwerke Amstetten makes an important contribution, so the town of Amstetten, which constitutes an important area of Lower Austria\u00b4s Mostviertel region, takes an enormous step towards a future-proof power supply.
