The project, which was designated as a \u201cproject of common interest\u201d (PCI) by the European Commission, will make a significant contribution to realising the EU\u2019s objectives in energy and climate policy. Some of the masts will be pre-assembled and erected in parallel so that the cable installation can begin as planned.
