- Carsten Gärtner verantwortet ab sofort das Geschäftsfeld Freileitung
Biberach, 18. July 2016 – Effective July 16, 2016, Carsten Gärtner has joined EQOS Energie Deutschland GmbH as Executive Director. Together with Peter Pendt and Robert Schaetzke, he drives growth for the company and is responsible for the overhead line business unit with immediate effect.
Before joining the company, Gärtner was Executive Director of Omexom Hochspannung GmbH, where he was responsible for the overhead line construction, engineering and cable technology business units. From 1996 to 2011, the certified engineer had already worked for the predecessor company of EQOS Energie, ultimately as manager of the overhead line and substation construction business unit. From decades of experience, Gärtner knows both our customers’ requirements and the market conditions; hence, he is in the ideal position to further develop the business unit together with his colleagues. “I am pleased to be a part of EQOS Energie again. I already know many staff members as well as the individual processes,” says Gärtner. “Our ‘Excellent Quality of Services’ standard perfectly fits my core drivers and my working methods. I am very much looking forward to new challenges in familiar surroundings.”
Within the framework of its growth strategy, EQOS Energie plans to expand its activities within the individual business areas in Germany and Europe. “We are looking forward to have Carsten Gärtner, who is an experienced industry expert, on board,“ says Eric Mendel, CEO of EQOS Energie Holding. “Our experienced colleagues as well as our international presence create a good potential for strong organic and inorganic growth especially in the overhead line sector.”
The company was founded approximately 100 years ago; today, it employs more than 2,200 people at more than 30 locations in eight countries. Approximately 900 of these employees are in Germany. The company’s railway technology, energy technology and communication technology units focuses on a trendsetting technical portfolio for infrastructures; EQOS Energie operates along the entire value chain from engineering over construction to maintenance. The services of the individual business units are available as ready-to-use products or partial services.
