The project was offered in the form of a best-bidder procedure. As a partner of Bayernwerk Netz GmbH, EQOS Energie will perform construction for the replacement of the existing 110-kV overhead lines with alternating switchgear \u2013 which also includes the use of temporary lines and, subsequently, the installation of new conductors \u2013 as well as erecting solid-wall steel poles instead of the previously used load-bearing lattice masts. Prior to the tender procedure for this project, EQOS Energie successfully executed a pilot project for the construction of these poles. Completion of the project is planned for spring 2022.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong>Replacement of conductors in semi-operation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>June 2021 marks the start of the construction work for the temporary structures, the pole foundations and all preparatory measures for the point and cabling work. \u201cBy the end of the year, about 20 to 33 EQOS Energie experts in overhead line construction will be deployed to conduct the reconstruction work of the 110-kV line section from mast A23 to mast A63,\u201d said Gerald Adelsgruber, head of the profit centre in charge at EQOS Energie.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong>High complexity based on solid-wall steel poles<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The solid-wall steel poles onto which the new overhead lines will be installed play a special role in the execution of this project. These poles are based on the prototypes provided as part of the tender procedure. Their technical design was convincing in the competitive tender, because, compared to standard lattice masts, solid-wall steel poles with their complexity require extremely sensitive handling \u2013 from foundation to the tip of the mast, beginning with production until final installation. \u201cThis requires very detailed construction knowledge but also great knowledge of handling as well.
